Our Policy

Vehicle Movements

I.Midland Drivelink Ltd will endeavour to carry out all movements as per instruction. We aim to provide a quality, efficient service at the request of all customers.
II.All vehicles will be driven to and from the required destination, unless otherwise instructed by the customer, by fully trained and uniformed staff.
III.Customers must advise MDL at the time of instruction if the vehicle is not taxed or does not carry a valid M.O.T certificate. In these circumstances, we will move the vehicle on trade plates or by trailer.
IV.All MDL staff are trained to carry out checks on oil, water, lights, tyres and horn before moving any vehicle. These findings will be noted on our own report and providing these are OK, we will move the vehicle. MDL will not be held responsible for any vehicle breakdown, computer or mechanical failure beyond our control. We will assist in conjunction with your recovery services to move the vehicle to a safe place, or, at your request and cost, we will arrange recovery.
V.Vehicles that are not made available as per instruction, will incur an abortive charge. This will be 75% of the agreed movement price.
VI.MDL assume vehicles are available during office hours (09.00 - 17.00) unless otherwise stated. If a vehicle is not available, waiting time will be charged at a rate of £10.00 per hour after the first half hour.

Rates

I.MDL will quote all movements upon request.
II.Our rates will be exclusive of fuel. A receipt displaying the vehicle registration mark will support all fuel usage.
III.Any oil and fluids needed to make the vehicle roadworthy are charged to you at cost.
IV.All movements are fully inclusive of our own insurance and personal liability cover.

Other Charges

I.MDL will not be liable for paying the Transport for London Congestion Charge. If agreed, we can pay this charge and invoice you for re-imbursement.
II.Road tolls, bridges and tunnels are included in any movement.
III.Any journeys in excess of 400 miles one way will be subject to an overnight accommodation charge at an agreed rate.
IV.Car wash - this is at the discretion of the driver. We will only jet wash vehicles and the wash will only be as good as the equipment available.
V.Ferries will be charged at cost including fuel and any other surcharges.

Inspection Reports

I.MDL will carry out a comprehensive vehicle inspection report before and after a movement of any vehicle. Our drivers are trained in understanding your own inspection reports and the requirements of your inspection team.

Office Hours and administration

I.Our offices are operational from 07.00 - 18.00 hours Monday to Friday and 09.00 - 12.00 on Saturday. Mobile phone contact can be made outside of these hours.
II.Enquiries and quotes can be made by telephone or e-mail.
III.Orders can be placed by fax or e-mail, ideally 12 hours prior to movement to enable us to allocate to drivers schedules. There is no minimum or maximum number of orders that we will accept provided notice is given.

Other

I.MDL can also arrange movement of vehicles that are 'off shore'. All quotes upon request.
II.A chauffeuring service is also available. Quotes upon request.
